Silverstone Classic 2021 – Golden Ticket Prize Draw
30th July 2021 @ 8:00 am - 1st August 2021 @ 5:00 pm
CSI received this post from the Silverstone Classic event organisers and we are happy to share it with you here.
Please note the opportunity to win a ‘Golden Ticket‘ for entry into a draw to win an exciting prize –
Looking positively ahead to 2021, we’re pleased to announce that our provisional dates for next year are 30 July – 1 August. As usual, these will remain provisional until the dates for the British Grand Prix are ratified by the FIA (usually at the start of December) but be sure to pop the dates in your diary and we hope that this helps with your planning for now.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us next year for our postponed 30th anniversary party as well as a series of other deferred celebrations… plus some brand new ones; it’ll be an incredible event. We’re also looking at the ways in which we can pay a fitting tribute to the inspiring key workers who have supported us all through this very difficult period, too. More on that soon.
Tickets for next year’s event will be available in the Autumn.
In the meantime, if you’re missing your motorsport fix, don’t forget that you can keep in touch via our social media channels where we’ll be providing some escapism and entertainment with epic moments from past Classic events (follow the links below), plus we’ll provide you with some highlights of our favourite moments via email – we’d love to hear from you with details of what yours have been, too.
Weathering the COVID19 storm
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on us all; the events industry has been particularly hard hit.
As a small independent events company passionate about what we do, Goose Live Events has been hugely challenged financially by the need to cancel our flagship event, the Silverstone Classic, in 2020. With 10 months’ work already done by the team in preparation for the Classic prior to its cancellation and costs incurred for an event that isn’t now happening, coupled with the fact that we have no income attributable to the 2020 event, COVID-19 has set us back by 10 years or so.
We will survive it, but we’d really appreciate your help.
We understand that many of you may be in a similar situation, but for those of you who may be feeling particularly charitable or are in a position to help, we’d really appreciate it if you could consider supporting us.
We have set-up a crowdfunding page where support for the Classic can be pledged. If you are in a position to support the event and would like to make a donation, please click here.
Golden Ticket Prize Draw
All those supporting us in this way will be automatically entered into a Golden Ticket Prize Draw and in with the chance of winning a range of fantastic prizes. Any support you feel able to provide would be hugely appreciated…and in recognition of the fact that our charity partner, Alzheimer’s Research UK, is expecting a drop in support by as much as 45% as a result of COVID-19, we will donate 10% of any funds received in this way to their very important cause.
Thank you to all of you who took the time to write us personal messages or comment so positively on our social media channels when we had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event at the end of last month. We feel incredibly lucky that the Classic has such strong and loyal support and we really appreciate your understanding at such a difficult time. We hope to welcome you to next year’s Silverstone Classic on Friday 30th July through to Sunday August 1st 2021. Until then, stay safe.

A New Opportunity
Over the years I have built up an archive of photos of classic cars that I have taken at various events in the U.K. and USA.
I am now making them available to other Classic Car enthusiasts but especially as a means of encouraging the younger generation to take an interest in this subject.
There will be a modest charge made to cover production and administration costs.
