Silverstone Classic 2020 – Cancelled
July 31 @ 7:30 am - August 2 @ 6:30 pm
An announcement from the organisers –
“Following the latest Government advice, we have reached the inevitable conclusion that we will need to cancel this year’s event. Given the current circumstances and the outlook on timescales, a postponed event – which was our original back-up plan – in a way that enables us to run the Classic in the manner that you know and love isn’t a feasible option. Our priority at all times is the safety and wellbeing of those attending our events as well as our own team and we know that you’ll understand why this step has been necessary. Our heartfelt thanks must go to all of you for your patience throughout this period of uncertainty.”
Silverstone Race Circuit is the place to be at the end of July, beginning of August, if you enjoy seeing, hearing and touching cars of all types. All this in a festival atmosphere created by live music and a funfair. But it is the cars themselves which are the main attraction both on the racing circuit and in the Motor Club display areas.
The packed weekend of the Silverstone Classic includes exciting historic motor racing, free access to the paddocks and grandstands, displays of a stunning range of cars, around 1000 in all, brought to the event by enthusiastic members of most of the established U.K. motor clubs. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved yourself with driving simulators and driving demonstrations.
It’s not all cars though there is a range of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy including live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, vintage funfair rides, air displays, a Shopping Village etc.etc. All this included in the ticket price.
Early bird tickets are available to purchase until midnight on 31 March 2019 with adult tickets available from £39, child tickets (6-16 years) from £6 with no charge for children aged 5 and under! These prices are for Friday Only. Check the ticket app for other prices.
Here is what is included in the ticket price: –
- Full access to the racing paddocks giving the chance for you to get close to the cars and talk to the drivers and race preparers.
- Access to the open grandstands for great viewing of the track action. Big screens are also provided around the Circuit to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
- Live music concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings.
- The majority of funfair rides.
