The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) is delighted to announce that entries for this year’s Summer Run on Thursday 18 July are now open. This Summer Run is a wonderful warm-up for the RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. As tradition dictates, the famous annual homage to the original Emancipation Run always takes place on the first Sunday of November when participants often experience challenging weather. With the sun higher in the sky, the Summer Run is a more relaxed and sociable gathering, as well as a fabulous opportunity for veteran car owners to ready themselves for the main event later in the year.

The event is based at the RAC’s Woodcote Park Clubhouse in Epsom, heading out into the leafy lanes of rural Surrey after breakfast. It then takes in key points of interest while passing rich grasslands and a medley of woodlands and rivers – and to keep everyone on their toes, and on the maps, a series of challenges and tasks en route will add to the fun!
